Law Enforcement Couples Retreat
in the Redwoods

Speakers

Tony Miano is a retired (March 2007), twenty-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. During his time in law enforcement, Tony served as a juvenile crime and gang investigator, field training officer, drug recognition expert, and a DUI enforcement specialist.
In addition to serving as a deputy sheriff, Tony also served eight years as a department chaplain and now holds the title of “Chaplain Emeritus,” with the LASD. Tony has served as a church planter and, for six years, as a missionary to the law enforcement community, during which time he founded Ten-Four Ministries.
In 2008, Tony began serving the Lord as Living Waters’ Director of the Ambassadors' Alliance. The vision and purpose of the Ambassadors' Alliance is to inspire and equip Christians to fulfill the Great Commission, by training them to invade enemy-occupied territory with the gospel of Jesus Christ to set captives free. Tony also oversees Living Waters’ Transformed and Deeper conferences, and all of the ministry’s large-scale evangelistic outreaches.
Tony co-hosts Living Waters’ live, web-based program, "On the Box," with Ray Comfort and the rest of the Living Waters team. The show airs Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM (PST), on UStream.
Tony is the author of "Take up the Shield: Comparing the Uniform of the Police Officer & the Armor of God" (Genesis Publishing Group, 2005). He has also written hundreds of articles and devotions. Tony blogs daily at www.onthebox.us.
Tony and his wife, Mahria, have been married since 1985. They have three grown daughters—Michelle, Marissa, and Amanda. Tony and Mahria have homeschooled all three girls and make their home in Santa Clarita, CA.

Brad Dacus served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Phil Gramm, and went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, School of Law. For the next five years, Mr. Dacus coordinated religious freedom and parental rights cases throughout the Western states. In 1997, Mr. Dacus founded Pacific Justice Institute, where he serves as President and continues to defend religious liberties and parental rights. He has been a guest speaker on numerous radio and television programs, participates weekly in several radio talk show interviews, and has appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America," "The Today Show," "CNN," "Hannity and Colmes," "News Talk TV," "MSNBC," "NBC News," NB
C "Dateline" and many times on the "O'Reilly Factor."

Mary Lynn, a singer/songwriter and musician, has been leading worship in all types of venues both locally and internationally for many years. Finding Inner Peace for the Peace Officer
Led by: Robert Duvall and Joe Pratchard
This session will cover the differences in Critical Incident Stress Management VS Chaplain led counseling and how to combine the 2 different aspects of each.
Happiness is Getting out of God's Way in Relationships
Led by: Martha Smalley
This breakout will be more directed at the wives of Peace Officers and the discussion will be about the unusual destructive forces in Law Enforcements marriages and how God plays a part in the relationship.
