Professional Review/Competition Song Submission

Song Submission is now closed.  Songs submitted after Aug 1 will not be reviewed.

As a registrant of the Mount Hermon Christian Songwriters Conference, you will be able to submit one song for professional review. Songs will be reviewed by our faculty of songwriting industry professionals with the goal to help you improve your songwriting. This year we will be using soundcloud.com for review submissions. Due to the private nature of this review submission, instructions are slightly different than for the group collaboration/public review listed below.

There will be 3 grand prizes of either $300 cash or $300 in music gear given at the conference to the top songs as chosen by our sponsors.

You may submit a song for professional review only after you have registered for the conference. Any songs received from someone who has not yet registered will not be reviewed. Additionally, once songs are submitted they are final and cannot be changed or altered. Submit Your Song (makes our submit button for soundcloud)

Instructions

1. Click the "Drop Box" tab and Choose File
2. Submit your track, including all pertinent info.
3. Confirm your email address.
4. Activate your soundcloud.com account and profile info (you can connect through your facebook account if that's easier :)
5. Update your email notification settings to make sure you get the response comments from staff.

While your there you might want to:

• Add Mount Hermon as a soundcloud contact
• Join "Mount Hermon Songwriters" soundcloud group.

Peer Review

Soundcloud.com Songwriter Collaboration

In addition to the professional song review, this year we’re introducing a platform for peer review and collaboration. This is a chance for all of us to extend the collaborative nature of this conference beyond the actual conference dates, come to Songwriters 2010 better prepared, and continue the conversation after. This platform is free and you can share as many songs as you would like. Send your tracks to the group. Listen to other songwriters submissions, leave feedback and be inspired by your peers.

Instructions

1. Setup a soundcloud.com account and profile info (you can connect through your facebook account if that’s easier :)
2. Upload songs you want to share.
3. Join “Mount Hermon Songwriters” soundcloud group.
4. Send your track to the group.
5. You’ll want to update your email notification settings according to your taste, so you don’t miss out on responses.
6. Listen to other songwriters submissions and leave feedback and be inspired.
7. Get stoked because you’ve already connected with other great musicians before even showing up to Songwriters 2010!
