TEAMinar

 October 4-6, 2010

Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center & The Renewal Project present a groundbreaking opportunity for Leadership Development In The Redwoods.

Led by Nancy Ortberg and based on the work of Patrick Lencioni, best-selling author of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, and a team of top church consultants from The Renewal Project, TEAMinar gets leaders and their teams to talk openly about ministry, the team and their church’s ”unspeakables.” Doug Stevens will be helping as well. Danny Wallen is hosting. Dave Burns is doing the conference programming.

During the session, Ortberg and company share real-life case studies and glimpses into the formation of successful teams, along with insightful observations about the fundamental causes of minstry politics and failure.

"TEAMinar has reshaped our approach to teamwork in monumental ways.  The material is simply some of the best I've seen for teaching executive teams how to execute in a context of mutual respect.  I heartily recommend this program for ministry teams, and even for executive teams in other non-profit or for-profit organizations"

- Keith Potter, Senior Pastor, Saratoga Federated Church,
after attending the first TEAMinar in Sept. 2007

TEAMinar promises to inspire real change as Ortberg reveals the five key elements of world-class teams:

  1. Genuine trust within the team
  2. Unfiltered discussions
  3. Steadfast commitment to decisions
  4. Peer-to-peer accountability
  5. Unwavering drive to God-focused results

“The biggest opportunity for achieving ministerial excellence is sitting right under our noses—getting people to work together. There is simply no better tool for ensuring success and sustainability than building real teamwork at the center of a church.”
–Patrick Lencioni

Great leaders understand that they must do more than manage people. They need to manage the interactions between people. That’s not a subtle distinction—it’s a critical one. Successful churches build cohesive leadership teams.
