2012 Christian Writers Conference
Mount Hermon Christian Camps & Conference Center

For 43 years Mount Hermon has created a one-of-a-kind laboratory for training writers at every skill level, from unpublished to professional, and has become the only place that offers help to writers in every genre and phase of their careers.

Compare our experience and know-how. Mount Hermon’s record of customer satisfaction is unsurpassed—years of valuable conferences and thousands of participants from some 40 states and several foreign countries clearly attest to our ability to deliver what we promise. Our customer satisfaction rate speaks for itself!

All registrants receive free manuscript critique services that would cost $25 to $50 per manuscript at other conferences. Hands-on suggestions by people in the industry can really make a difference for writers at any stage of their careers. One-on-one manuscript reviews continue all five days.  Just the networking with agents, book publishing representatives, and magazine editors is worth the price of admission!

We continually research the latest trends in writing and publishing, seeking out the foremost experts. Our programs have proven themselves as profitable tools in helping Christian writers. We hear from people each year crediting this conference with the effective start of their writing careers. And many agents, publishers and editors encourage writers to attend our conference.  This is what we offer . . .

Writers Conference

March 30-April 3, 2012, Friday noon - Tuesday noon

NEW: Includes all forms of getting your words in print, traditional or non-traditional!

On the heels of the Head Start Mentoring Clinic is our annual Writers Conference for all levels of writing proficiency, providing professional instruction in the craft of writing, editing, publishing and more.  This year we'll have a bigger emphasis on non-traditional sources of publication, along with traditional publishing.  If you want to learn new ways to get your writing in print, this is the conference for you. Our goal is to approach these changes with a realistic and balanced view.  The pros and cons of non-traditional and traditional publishing will be discussed and you may come to your own conclusions as to the benefit of either.

Eight Major Morning Tracks/Two Intermediate Mentoring Tracks are available for the writer to follow all conference long for indepth instruction.  Our two small group mentoring tracks (fiction & non-fiction) allow for personalized attention for the intermediate writer who knows where he/she wants to go.  (Mentoring tracks are by application only and cost a minimal extra fee.)

Career Track each morning provides seasoned, published, veteran authors new motivation and challenges. (By application only.)

Forty Afternoon Workshops Over the course of 4 days, in the afternoons you'll have the option of many additional hour long workshops.  Pick ones that will strengthen your abilities in the craft of writing, various ways of marketing if you're at a place of having your work in progress published, when to use an agent, and even social network marketing.  These are invaluable opportunities for learning.  Make good use of the information available to you during the conference.

See for yourselves...spend Palm Sunday weekend with us. You’ll soon discover why Mount Hermon has earned the reputation as the premier Christian writer’s conference in the nation. "You're Going To Love It, We Guarantee It!"

We'll be looking for you.
