Food Service Summer Positions
Mount Hermon Christian Camps and Conference Center has been hosting families during the summer for over 100 years in a healthy, wholesome, and welcoming environment. We have beautiful, thoughtfully maintained facilities on 440 acres with three hosting sites for groups of all ages.
Our Service and Culinary Team pursues excellence in a modern, well organized and clean environment. Organized and quality focused individuals can apply for both full-time and flexible part-time summer jobs. We have positions for people of all skill levels and talents.
Our on-site buffet style catering includes: BBQ’s on our sport field, “Pancake Ridge” Breakfasts, Weekly Concert Buffet Dinners, and Sunday Lunch Buffets in our Ivy dining room. We provide uniforms, 50% off shoes for crews, and meals on all shifts. You may also enjoy many of the top speakers and concerts.
Dining Services: • Servers present a friendly face and offer hot tea, bus, and set tables. • Beverage staff prepare coffee and juice for meals and breaks, deliver by golf or push cart to service sites, and clean equipment. • Scrapers run the bus stations, deliver dirty tableware to Dish Room, and deliver clean tableware to Dining Room. • Flexible schedule of one - three shifts a day of approximately 3 hours each

Canopy Tour Guides - Apply now to secure a spot for Fall Training
We are looking to train up to 8 part-time Redwood Canopy Tour Guides to work between 10-20 hours a week, Tuesday through Sunday. Must attend a 50 hour Guide training. Training dates to be announced.
Qualifications: At least 18 years old, comfortable with heights, in harmony with our Statement of Faith, excited about engaging people and sharing the wonder of the redwood forest, responsible, must have current CPR/FA certification by end of training week, committed to working three out of four weeks a month. Must complete training with a passing score of 80% on the written exam and with sufficient skill proficiency during practical testing to meet industry criteria.
Hours and Pay: The top trainees will be given a minimum of two tours a week. Pay will be 75% of min. wage during training, increasing to $10/hour + tips (D.O.E.) when you begin working. After 100 hours you qualify to move to lead guide and $11 hour.
Adventure Facilitators - Apply now to secure a spot for the September 2010 Training
We are looking to train up to 8 part-time Adventure Facilitators to work Saturdays for guest group adventure at Redwood Camp, Ponderosa Lodge, and the Conference Center - Sequoia Ropes Course, Ridge Ropes Course and Climbing Walls - as well as to assist with Team Building Workshop times mid-week throughout the busy fall season. Must attend training on the following weekends: September 11-12, 18-19, 25, and October 2.
Qualifications: At least 18 years old, comfortable with heights, in harmony with our Statement of Faith, excited about encouraging people, responsible, must have current CPR/FA certification by end of training, committed to working three out of four Saturdays a month for the fall. Must complete training with a passing score of 80% on the written exam and with sufficient skill proficiency during practical testing to meet ACCT Level I criteria. Previous Level I or II certification may waive some training requirements.
Hours and Pay: The top trainees will be given a minimum of four hours each Saturday, typically 1:30-5:30 p.m. Mid-week hours will vary depending on the teambuilding schedule. Pay will be 75% of min. wage during training, increasing to $9/hour (D.O.E.) when you begin working. Raises based on performance and increasing levels of certification.
