Action Ministries/Volunteer Program
If you have a heart to serve in Kingdom ministry, we will be happy to host you one day or several as you become a volunteer for "the King" here at Mount Hermon. If you as an individual or a group are interested in volunteering your time and services, please contact Maribel Boyd at 831.430.1201 or by email at volunteer@mounthermon.org.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunities to serve the Lord with your time and talents as a volunteer here at Mount Hermon. Tell us your name and your skills, gifts or talents, and we will make sure that you have a place to serve. Our Volunteer Program represents a diverse group of volunteers with servant hearts. You are welcome to review the different positions and opportunities currently available on the Volunteer Opportunities page.
In addition to the positions listed here, groups and individuals are invited to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of our facilities. Please contact Maribel Boyd for further information at 831.430.1201 or by email at volunteer@mounthermon.org.
Action Ministries Update
Mount Hermon highly values the contributions of our many volunteers who serve directly with the staff to improve the facilities, provide outstanding service to our guests and contribute unique combinations of experience, maturity and knowledge to a broad range of tasks and projects. In 2008, volunteers donated over 16,000 hours of their time and service to the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ at Mount Hermon. But we can use even more volunteers and encourage you to think and pray about joining this vital part of our “staff.” There are three parts to the program: Groups, Teams and Individuals.
Groups
We host many short term mission trip groups from various churches, schools and Bible Study groups. These groups come from as far away as Manitoba, Canada and as close as Scotts Valley, CA. Their projects focus on the “to do” list of the Buildings and Grounds Department and involve, primarily, the maintenance, construction and repair of facilities.
Teams
Our volunteer teams are generally comprised of local folks who live close enough to join us on a regular basis and support the ministry by taking responsibility for certain services. Each team has a leader responsible for organizing work schedules and assigning tasks.
Currently there are 16 teams:
Bulk Mail

Greeters/Seaters

Individuals
There are many volunteers with unique training or skills who offer their services to Mount Hermon as individuals. As architects, civil engineers, master carpenters, electricians, plumbers, contractors, nurses, doctors and lawyers, to name a few, they are able to offer their services as volunteers through this unique partnership and fellowship of like-minded professionals.
Volunteering at Kidder Creek
Kidder Creek Camp is looking for a retired person or couple to help in the areas of maintenance, lawn care, cooking or office work. Housing or an RV space is available. Kidder Creek offers a beautiful location in the mountains of Northern California. You would be working in a fun environment, have life changing opportunities to witness and develop long term relationships with young people who need Godly models. If you or someone you know would like to have this opportunity, please contact Kidder Creek Camp at 530-467-3265 or by email at office@kiddercreek.org.
