Parent-Child Conferences at Mount Hermon

In a fast-paced society it takes effort to ease back and plan time with family members. Mount Hermon provides unique opportunities for parents and children to do just that — slow down and connect — while providing valuable direction and memorable experiences.

Each weekend conference combines a relaxed setting with fun-filled activities, inspirational song and praise, bringing encouragement and direction through gifted communicators. The parent-child retreats are open to parents and their children grades 2 through 8.  These are times you’ll treasure for years to come.

Moms and Daughters is offered in Spring 2009, look for the Moms and Sons in Spring 2010, each offered alternating years.

 Moms & Daughters
April 30-May 2, 2010

Have you ever wondered what life would have been like for Cinderella if her mother had been there? Would she still need a pumpkin carriage and glass slipper to live happily ever after? Would Ariel have gone on a quest to become human if she could have had a heart-to-heart with her mom? Even Jasmine’s almost-marriage to the evil Jafar could have been prevented! How these stories could have looked so different had there mothers been present in their daughters’ lives!

At our Moms and Daughters’ retreat, we are going to explore the importance of mothers and their role in the story of their daughters’ life. Come share a weekend with your daughter, full of rest and memories. Rosie Whitelock will be our speaker for this year’s conference. A gifted communicator, Rosie’s loving heart, personal honesty and transparency enable her to connect well with her listeners. Rosie brings helpful direction and encouragement to those leading their daughters into adulthood.

Come cherish your daughter (or your mom) for a weekend of rest and memories.

When You Come
Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, with dinner between 6:30-7:30 p.m. The weekends conclude following Sunday brunch, around noon. A detailed letter, along with a list of what to bring to camp, is sent to each registrant two weeks prior to the camp date.

Participation & Cost

Reserve your space by sending in a $50 per person, non-refundable, non-transferable deposit.

There is no Saturday lunch scheduled, allowing you and your child the opportunity to explore the beautiful area and have a special lunch date on your own. A small fee will be charged for the optional craft or rocket-building project.

Food, housing and all activities are included at a per-person rate. Our typical parent-child retreats are open to parents and their children, grades two through eight. The spring conferences are also open to 1st-graders as a preview to summer Primary Camp.
