Field Trips

 

The Mount Hermon Outdoor Science School offers a one-of-a-kind learning experience for ages K-8th grade, teachers, and parents. Our 440 acre campus containins 4 unique ecosystems: Ponderosa Sandhills, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Riparian(creek), and the Redwood Forest.

 

We offer both half day and full day excursions of various topics and destinations. Options abound!

Half Day Program
9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Cost $14 per participant

 

One 2 ½ hour excursion lead by one of our experienced Naturalists. You choose the topic.

Excursions include age appropriate science content communicated through

experiential activities, hiking, and games.

 
Full Day Program
9:00 a.m.–2:45p.m.

Cost $25/participant/bring you own sack lunch

 

Option A: Two 2 ½ hour excursions with a lunch break among the Redwoods

Option B: Extended hike adventure exploring our 4 ecosystems

Option C: One 2 ½ hour excursion/lunch break/plus swimming

Option D: One 2 ½ hour excursion/lunch break/plus climbing wall

Option E: One 2 ½ hour excursion/lunch break/Redwood canopy tour (additional $50 cost and 75lb. student weight minimum)

 

Night Option: One 2 ½ hour Night Hiking excursion (7:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.)

 

To reserve an option you must have at least 8 participants.
