Parent-Child Conferences at Mount Hermon In a fast-paced society it takes effort to slow down and connect with family members. Mount Hermon provides unique opportunities for parents and children to do just that — slow down and connect — while providing valuable direction and memorable experiences. Each weekend combination provides a relaxed setting, fun-filled activities, inspirational song and praise, encouragement and direction through gifted communicators. The parent-child retreats are open to children in 2nd through 8th grades with their parents. These are times you’ll treasure for years to come. Dads and Daughters Speaker Keith Poletiek Dads and daughters- what a blessing! Dads make a special imprint on daughters modeling God's gracious love in their relationships. No one helps dads express this love better than comedian/story -teller/dad Keith Poletiek. A Mount Hermon favorite for years, Keith is eager for Biblical truth and Christ's power to bond dads with daughters. This weekend will be memorable for you both! Moms and Sons Speaker Kim Clevenger Kim Clevenger, Pastor of Student Ministries at Christ Community Church Milpitas, has a band of growing and well-balanced youth in her church. In raising two sons, Kim offers practical guidance in fostering healthy, Christ centered mom and son relationships. Moms will be encouraged and equipped in a community of other moms, while sons will enjoy classic camp activities. Come join us for a weekend of growth! When You Come Participation & Cost The cost for Parent and Child Weekends at Redwood Camp is $163 per person. You may reserve your space by sending in a $50 per person, non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit. There is no Saturday lunch scheduled; this allows you and your child the opportunity to explore the beautiful area and have a special lunch date on your own. A small fee will be charged for the optional craft or rocket project. Food, housing and all activities are included at a per-person rate. Our typical parent-child retreats are open to parents and their children, grades two through eight. The spring conferences are also open to 1st-graders as a preview to summer Primary Camp. Please do not let finances get in the way of a Mount Hermon experience. Through the generosity of many, a partial grant from the Campership Fund may be just the gift you need to make it possible for you to attend camp. For more information and an application, please contact our friendly registration staff. Call Mount Hermon’s Registrar at 1-888-MH-CAMPS to register or request a brochure online. |
