Worship in the Redwoods: The Choir in Modern Worship
November 3-6, 2008

Mount Hermon’s Retreat to Advance presents a completely unique opportunity for choir directors, worship leaders, and all interested in choral music. In the ever changing landscape of worship music, often times it has been challenging to find the most effective places for the use of a choir.

To help us work through some of these issues and how to creatively best use a choir, world- renown speakers, authors, and choir directors, Jim and Carol Cymbala of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church and Choir, will be joining us to help us navigate how, when, and where to best use the choir in modern worship. 

In addition Don Moen, writer of some of the most acclaimed and popular choral pieces of our time such as God With Us, as well as renown modern hymn writers Keith & Kristyn Getty, writers of of "In Christ Alone", will be joining us to not only be a part of the conversation, but also to lead us in worship.

One very special opportunity we have at this conference is that all participants will get to participate in a live audio and video recording of Don Moen's newly released worship album.  It will take place on the final evening of the conference and will be a night to remember!
